How are you feeling at work these days? Turns out, a lot of people are suffering from burnout.
In a survey of 2,000 U.S. workers by staffing firm Robert Half, 36% of workers feel burned out. A third say they’re more burned out now than they were a year ago.
Vice President of Accounting and Finance Shannon Edlinger told us why it’s happening.
“40% say heavy workloads and long hours,” Edlinger said. “39% say lack of support or recognition from their management or leadership team. And 27% say few professional growth opportunities.
Edlinger says those reporting the highest levels of burnout are Gen Z and millennial professionals and working parents.
If you feel burned out, she says take your vacation time and communicate with your manager.
